I'm Irene Vlasidis

I’m not your typical Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner! With my background as a former college athlete, yoga enthusiast, and nutrition, I bring a knowledgeable, vibrant energy to well-being. As a mother of four and someone who values health, I understand the real-life balance needed for a fulfilling and happy life. My integrative approach to health and happiness is all about embracing your unique journey with confidence and determination.

I’m a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Holistic Nutritionist and an Experienced Yoga Teacher. I trained under Duke’s Integrative Medicine Program learning modalities that shift the focus from reactive disease-oriented medical care to one that prioritizes disease prevention, health and well-being. I went on to become the Wellness Director of a behavioral health driven weight loss clinic under a multidisciplinary team before opening my Lifestyle Medicine Practice. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Functional Medicine Nutrition, and completing my yoga 500hr RYT credentials. I am a yogi and soccer player at heart. When I’m not busy with my 4 very active kids, operating my health and wellness companies, you can find me in a cycle class, running outdoors, and enjoying time with family and friends.

I enjoy growing a relationship with my clients and spending the time to fully understand their stories. Having a strong practitioner and client relationship built on trust is vital for good client care. That relationship is especially important when talking about nutrition. Nutrition and diet have so many negative associations along with social and cultural stigmas. I believe that we need to examine our relationship with food before being able to make any lasting lifestyle change. Food is such an integral part of our well-being and has such emotional, social, and cultural ties. I am passionate about educating clients about sustainable changes that can be made to their everyday lives.

I don’t just provide a set of rules to follow; I tailor your guidance to suit your individual goals and preferences. It’s your journey, and I’m here to support YOU. Together, we’ll craft a wellness plan that feels like a natural extension of your lifestyle using a scientifically proven Whole Health Approach. The mission is simple but profound: I help people improve their health, one behavior, one meal, one step at a time.
